Learn More About Being A Sponsor
Humanity International for Peace and Prosperity, Inc. was founded on
the notion that the way to help our fellowman is to extend a hand
to our fellowman in as personal a way as possible. That's why we
are playing matchmaker of sorts, putting together families in
America and elsewhere with families in rural Afghanistan using
the power of the Internet.
For example, when you choose to sponsor an Afghan widow and her
family as part of the Woman To Woman Project/Afghanistan, we pair you with a specific family, letting you see how they are doing,
how your support is making a difference in their lives. And though
there are barriers of language and distance, we will even try to help
your two families grow closer through personal, one-to-one communication.
In order to protect the privacy of both families, each
sponsor will be given password protected access to a
special page for learning about your sponsored family in
Afghanistan and for sending them short messages. We will
translate as many of these messages as possible and see that they are delivered to
your family in Afghanistan*.
There can be no more meaningful bridge across language and cultural
divides than sharing our life and love with others.
Why not contribute as little as $60 a year to bring hope to those with
precious little reason to hope? You can make a difference in
Afghanistan and in the world.
*IMPORTANT NOTE:Because the infrastructure in the Afghanistan is in such disrepair after twenty years of warfare,
it may take time for your family to respond. Most villages don't even have electricity, so emails
must be hand-delivered.
